What is the difference between the services you offer and a full-service surrogacy agency?
It depends on the service package selected and the agency but generally speaking there are three main differences.

1. I work primarily with independent matches. I do not actively seek out and match surrogates.

2. I allow surrogates to set their own compensation and benefits.

3. My fees are lower than most surrogacy agencies.

How do I find a match if I am not already connected with a surrogate?
There are several ways an intended parent can find a match.
1. Through close connections in their inner circle whether that be family, friends, coworkers or other experienced intended parents.

2. Through online independent match groups such as "Surrogates and IPS Match Group" on Facebook.
​
3. Through K.B. Surrogacy. While I do not actively seek out surrogates, I will connect parents to one if a surrogate approaches me looking for a match. I do not charge an additional fee should this happy coincidence occur.

What types of intended parents do you work with?
I work with all types of parents no matter their sexual orientation, relationship status, race, gender identification, religious affiliation, etc. They can be domestic or international, I have extensive experience with both.

Do you handle payments and disbursements for your matches?
For service package #1, yes. I handle payments and disbursements through a parents chosen third-party escrow during their entire journey.
For service package #2, yes. I handle payments and disbursements through a parents chosen third-party escrow until their surrogate is released from their fertility clinic to her OB.
For service package #3, no.
Please note, if a parent chooses package #2 or #3 their surrogate will need to be notified and provide approval before moving forward.​

How often do you communicate with intended parents during their journey?
At a minimum I communicate with both surrogates and intended parents on a weekly basis. If a parent requests less frequent communication I will happily adjust.

Do you provide referrals for attorneys, escrow companies, insurance brokers, etc?
Yes. I provide referrals for ART professionals at appropriate milestones and upon request.

Can I speak with intended parents who completed a journey with you?
Of course. I have several parents who would be happy to share their experience. I also have several surrogates who would be willing to speak with your surrogate if desired.

What do you charge for your services?
A big reason I started K.B. Surrogacy was to help parents save money on an already financially taxing process. My fee varies based on the service package an intended parent chooses but they are all under $10,000. For further details, contact kayla@kbsurrogacy.com.
