What is the difference between the services you offer and a full-service surrogacy agency?
It depends on the service package selected and the agency but generally speaking there are two main differences from a surrogate's perspective.

1. In most cases, I do not use paid advertising to connect with surrogates. They come to me already matched, they contact me on their own or they come to me through another agency, referral company, fertility clinic or attorney.

2. I allow surrogates to select their own compensation and benefits.

What if I need assistance determining my compensation?
While I empower surrogates to set their own compensation, I am always open to discussing options and industry standards. That way each surrogate can make the best decision for herself, her family and her situation.

How do I find a match if I am not already connected with an intended parent?
There are several ways a surrogate can find a match.

1. Through close connections in their inner circle whether that be family, friends, coworkers, known experienced surrogates or known experienced intended parents.

2. Through online independent match groups such as "Surrogates and IPS Match Group" on Facebook.

3. Through K.B. Surrogacy. While I do not actively seek out surrogates, I will connect them if a surrogate approaches me looking for a match and I am in contact with intended parent(s) who are still in the process of finding a match.

Can I speak with a surrogate who already completed a journey with you?
Of course. I have many surrogates who would be happy to connect and share their experience.

Do you handle payments and disbursements for your matches?
Yes. I handle payments and disbursements through an intended parents chosen third party escrow. If a surrogate's intended parent does not choose the standard service option (#1) she will be notified before proceeding to ensure she feels comfortable taking on all or some of that responsibility.

How often do you communicate with a surrogate during her journey?
At a minimum I communicate with both surrogates and intended parents on a weekly basis. If a surrogate requests less frequent communication I will happily adjust.

Do you provide referrals for attorneys, escrow companies, insurance brokers, etc?
Yes. I provide referrals for ART professionals at appropriate milestones and upon request.

What are the qualifications for becoming a surrogate ?
Every fertility clinic and intended parent will have their own matching requirements but you can find a basic overview on the "qualifications" subpage.
