Financing

For those who are considering surrogacy to create their families, the most common question is how are we going to pay for it?

Due to the number of individuals, steps, and service providers involved in the process, surrogacy can get expensive quickly. While most families do not have the means readily available, there are several options that can help make this path more attainable.

Below, you will find an overview of options for financing your fertility journey.

Intended parents commonly rely on loans to help cover surrogacy costs. Beyond traditional lines of credit, there are many organizations that offer financing options intended for fertility treatments and surrogacy.

  • Family members.  While not everyone is comfortable asking their loved ones for assistance, many family members want to help.

  • Home equity loans. You may be able to borrow funds using your home as collateral.

  • 401(k) plans.  You may choose to borrow money from your retirement accounts

  • Fertility loans. Certain financial organizations specialize in fertility financing; many can be applied to surrogacy.
